Annie let herself sink into the kiss as if it might fortify her against the cold, her hands coming up to frame Finnick's face and her small body swaying in to be pulled against his. The soles of her shoes scraped against the stone of the doorstep as she pushed up, meeting Finnick halfway, and for a moment it didn't matter at all whether her mother was at home fretting, or someone in the Capitol was missing the body against her own, or if Finnick's sisters were watching from the parlor window.
